To be heard and understood is one of our most basic, fundamental human needs. Losses, life transitions, relationships, and even extended periods of stress can cause us to feel confused, overwhelmed, and even hopeless. You are not alone if you have found yourself struggling in any of these areas. My primary goal is to welcome you into a safe and collaborative space where personal growth can be fostered, and hope can begin.

As a licensed marriage and family therapist, I work with clients of all ages who need help and support in the areas of stress management, relationship discord, parenting, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, trauma, and adjustment to life transitions, such as divorce, the diagnosis of a serious illness, and empty nest.

Seeking help takes strength. Making the decision to reach out to a therapist is a courageous first step and you are one step closer to getting the judgment-free support you deserve.

To help you lead a more fulfilling life, this is my goal. Mental health struggles like anxiety, depression, or trauma often stand in the way of our own aspirations. I aspire to help clients live their most fulfilling lives by navigating these struggles. Using a person- centered, strength-based approach, I help clients recognize and build upon their strengths, identify their values, and build skills aimed at overcoming life’s obstacles. The foundation of my approach is a warm and empathetic therapeutic relationship, built upon trust and respect.

I have worked with diverse populations who have struggled with depression, anxiety, behavioral difficulties, and complex family dynamics. Through my work with families, children, and adults I have helped clients find their way towards fulfilling and enjoyable lives.

I understand that reaching out for help can be a difficult step on the road to change and finding the right fit can sometimes be challenging. This is why my approach focuses on building a safe therapeutic relationship where you can use your voice as the expert in your own life. I encourage you to make this first step toward a more fulfilling life.

Loving ourselves through the process of owning our story is the bravest thing we will ever do. As we go through life, our personal experiences become a part of our story and shape our identity. Sometimes, life is hard. We become trapped inside our “problem-saturated stories,” which can lead to emotional distress, anxiety, and depression. When we are able to view ourselves as separate from our problems, we become empowered to take back our story, and we begin to understand our problems in new ways. We begin to heal. We have the power, at any given moment, to say, “This is not how my story is going to end!”

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I am able to provide therapy to those who are struggling with anxiety or depression, have experienced trauma or grief, or struggle with relationship distress or stress management. I can help you use the knowledge and skills you already have to reshape your story. I can empower you to find meaning in your life.

If you are feeling stuck, lost, overwhelmed, or hopeless, please reach out to schedule an initial visit. It is possible to take back the power in your story and find more meaning in life. I would be honored to listen to and hold your story.

“Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light.” – Brené Brown

My name is Sara Hack and I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor. It takes tremendous amounts of courage to ask for help when you feel like life has become too heavy around you. Life can be unjust, exhausting, overwhelming, and terrifying at times. My goal is to help clients explore and identify the origin of those negative thoughts and feelings by creating a safe, trusting and inviting environment for clients to feel accepted, confident, and supported.

I am passionate about helping people discover their fullest potential. I have experience working with clients struggling with behavioral issues, stress, sports performance, trauma, depression, and anxiety. Together, we will reveal new opportunities for growth, happiness, and self-acceptance during your therapeutic journey.

My therapeutic approach varies due to the client's individual needs. However, I utilize an integrative approach consisting of multiple evidence-based therapies to help individuals and couples navigate life’s challenges such as humanistic, strengths-based, trauma-informed, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and person-centered approaches.
